Black Drawing Salve is a traditional topical remedy designed to help support the skin when dealing with splinters, bug bites, embedded debris, boils, irritated skin, poison ivy/oak irritation, and other stubborn skin concerns.

Made with herbal-infused oils, activated charcoal, bentonite clay, and soothing botanicals, this salve is commonly used as part of natural first aid care to help draw impurities and unwanted material toward the surface of the skin.

This is a traditional herbal drawing salve formula and is not related to or affiliated with PRID® products.

About the Ingredients

Calendula Flowers

Traditionally used to help calm irritated skin and support skin recovery while soothing redness and discomfort.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A nourishing oil rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that helps moisturize and protect the skin while carrying herbal constituents into the skin.

Coconut Oil

Helps soften the salve while providing additional skin-conditioning properties.

Beeswax

Creates a protective barrier over the skin and gives the salve its thick texture.

Activated Charcoal

Traditionally used in drawing salves to help bind impurities and support the drawing action of the formula.

Bentonite Clay

Commonly used in topical preparations for its absorbent properties and ability to support drawing impurities toward the skin’s surface.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Traditionally used in skincare for calming and restorative support.

Lavender Essential Oil

Provides soothing skin support while helping calm irritated areas.


Suggested Uses & Application

Traditionally used topically for:

  • Splinters
  • Embedded glass
  • Cactus spines
  • Ingrown hairs
  • Boils
  • Bug bites
  • Spider bites
  • Thorns
  • Poison ivy/oak irritation
  • Minor skin irritation
  • Acne and pimples

How to Use:

  1. Cleanse affected area and pat dry
  2. Apply a small amount to affected area
  3. Cover if desired
  4. Leave covered for at least 6 hours
  5. Cleanse area and reapply if needed

Some splinters or embedded debris may take up to 48 hours to fully work their way out.

Important Product Notes

This item is made with ingredients that are highly prone to melting in the heat.

If you receive your order and suspect melting may have occurred, do not worry. Simply place the jar upright in the refrigerator for a few hours and it will solidify again.
