The Katrina Apron is a handmade, full-coverage linen work apron designed to be worn, used, washed, and lived in for years.
This is not intended to be a delicate apron that stays hanging on a hook because it is too pretty to get dirty. It was designed as a hardworking everyday layer for the kitchen, garden, home, sewing room, apothecary, homestead, and wherever else the day takes you.
Made from two layers of 200 GSM 100% linen, the Katrina Apron is fully lined for added coverage and durability. This is a substantial, heavy-duty linen rather than the lightweight linen commonly used for shirts and other clothing. Its cross-back, wrap-around construction provides comfortable coverage without neck strain or restrictive ties, while deep pockets keep the things you reach for throughout the day close at hand. Because nothing is tied in place, the neckline can also be worn higher or lower by adjusting where the cross-back straps rest on your shoulders.

Colors
Three linen color options are available.
Color availability is subject to change. If your selected fabric color becomes unavailable before your apron is made, you will be contacted regarding substitute color options before production.
Because linen is dyed in batches, slight variations in color may occur between dye lots. Colors may also appear somewhat different depending on screen settings.

Understanding the Price
The Katrina Apron is not a mass-produced apron or a single layer of inexpensive fabric. Each apron is individually handmade from two layers of 100% linen and is fully lined for added coverage and durability.
When your order is placed, I purchase the linen needed for your selected color and size. Once the fabric arrives, it is pre-washed, dried, and ironed before I begin. I then cut each piece, construct and sew the apron, finish it, and wash it againbefore preparing it for shipment to you.
The price reflects both the cost of quality 100% linen - which continues to increase along with other raw materials - and the time and work involved in producing each apron from start to finish.
Small-XL: $118
2XL-4XL: $157
The increased price for sizes 2XL-4XL reflects the significantly larger amount of linen required to make these sizes. Because every Katrina Apron is constructed from two layers of linen, the additional fabric required for the larger sizes is substantial.
My goal with the Katrina Apron isn't to make the least expensive apron. It is to make a sturdy, comfortable, full-coverage linen apron that can be worn hard, washed, used, and enjoyed for years.
