Recommended Supplies
These supplies are recommended to help you organize your materials and get the most out of the DIY Herbalism Course. None of these items are complicated or expensive - simple office supplies work perfectly.
3" 3-Ring Binder – Materia Medica
A large binder is recommended for organizing your Materia Medica pages. As you continue studying herbs and adding pages over time, this binder will become your personal herbal reference library.
2" 3-Ring Binder – Recipes & Extras (Optional)
Some students like to keep a second binder for remedy recipes, preparation notes, printable resources, and other herbal reference materials. This is optional, but it can help keep your Materia Medica pages focused on individual herb profiles.
Slip Cover Pages (Sheet Protectors) Because the Materia Medica pages are not hole-punched, you will need clear slip cover pages (sheet protectors) to place the pages into before adding them to your binder. This keeps the pages protected while allowing you to easily organize and rearrange them over time.
Lined Notebooks
Keeping one or two lined notebooks nearby is helpful for study notes, observations, remedy ideas, and herbal experiments as you work through the course.
Pens, Pencils, & Highlighters
Simple writing supplies will make it easier to take notes, highlight important information, and mark key concepts while studying.
Page Tabs or Sticky Tabs (Optional)
Tabs can be helpful for marking frequently used pages, important sections, or herbs you reference often.
Binder Dividers (Optional)
Dividers can make it easier to organize herbs alphabetically or separate sections like remedies, herbal actions, and personal notes.
Printable Downloads
Printable resources will be added here as they become available.
